First results from Cippenham survey show big support for Robert Plimmer’s campaigns against the mistakes of Slough’s Labour Council

Robert Plimmer has started conducting a survey in Cippenham Meadows to find out what local residents think about the way Slough is being run. The early results from the first streets surveyed show big support for Robert Plimmer's campaigns against the mistakes of the Labour Council on issues such as not listening to local residents on traffic schemes and massively increasing charges for sports pitches.

Update on road scheme chaos: why doesn't Slough Council listen to residents BEFORE introducing crazy schemes?

Robert Plimmer said, 'It would have been so much better had Slough's Labour-run Council listened to local residents before closing Station Road. I welcome the Council's recent announcement of a partial back-down and the re-opening of Station Road in one direction. However, this partial back-down may not go far enough and looks like it might be delayed which will cause even more serious traffic chaos for residents as described below.

There is a national housing crisis, but it is particularly bad in places such as Slough where the policies of the local Labour Party over many decades have made the problem even worse.
