Spring 2018-One of many examples of dangerously exposed utility boxes in Cippenham Meadows

Lib Dem campaigner Robert Plimmer has been continuing to campaign alongside residents in his Cippenham Meadows ward and across Slough.

In letters to the local papers published on 27 April Robert highlighted his campaign to get action to deal with the 12 utility boxes he had identified in Cippenham Meadows with exposed contents due to damaged or missing cabinet doors. Robert reported the utility boxes to Slough Borough Council because of the health and safety issues. As a result, the Council have issued notices requesting emergency repairs by Virgin Media.

Robert also sent a copy of his letter to Virgin Media who have now replied asking for details of the locations of the 12 boxes. Hopefully this means action might be taken to address the problem.

More information about the location of some of these boxes, and other campaigns by Robert, including an earlier successful campaign to improve community safety, can be seen in Robert's recent Focus 23 newsletter to residents in Cippenham Meadows.
