Slough Lib Dems intensify campaign for a People's Vote
Slough Lib Dems joined about 700,000 other people in marching through London on Sat 20 Oct calling for the people to be allowed a vote on whether to accept the final Brexit deal, or reject it and remain in the EU.
The march was noisy and good-humoured, but also determined that the Brexit process that was started by a vote of the people should be concluded one way or the other by the many UK citizens having a vote on the final deal, and not left to the few politicians in Parliament to decide. On Sat 27 Oct Slough Lib Dems will be taking the campaign to the Harrow Market, in Langley from 11.00-12.30, and Farnham Road from 1.30-3.00. Email for more details, or come along and join in. We shall be asking residents how well they think Brexit is going, and whether they think there should be a People's Vote on the deal.
Increasing numbers of people are saying about the first Brexit vote: 'If only we'd known then what we know now.' Slough Lib Dems are continuing to write letters to local papers spelling out how people are increasingly realising the damage Brexit would do to the NHS, the UK economy etc. You can read the letter here:
