Slough Lib Dems campaigning for a People's vote on Brexit
Slough Lib Dems are campaigning for the people to make the final decision on Brexit, and not the politicians. A recent article in the Slough Express on 17 Aug showed Slough was one of the constiuencies that seems to have changed its mind about Brexit and would now vote to remain in the EU.
Many people are worried about the damage that Brexit might do to the NHS and the economy. The British Medical Association recently stated that any version of Brexit would be bad for the health of the nation.
The Lib Dems have been saying for many months that just as the decision to start the Brexit process was made by the people, so all the people should have a vote on whether to accept the final version of Brexit, or reject it and stay in the EU. This includes all the people who are now old enough to vote but who were too young to vote in 2016.
In recent weeks Slough Lib Dems have had letters in the Slough Observer and the Slough Express promoting the campaign for a People's vote on Brexit. The letter sent to the Express can be read here:
