Lib Dem campaigner Robert Plimmer says: ‘please help me STOP Slough’s Labour Council privatising our NHS'
RESIDENTS SHOCKED AS LABOUR COUNCIL BREAKS MANIFESTO PROMISE AND PRIVATISES LOCAL NHS
Lib Dem campaigner Robert Plimmer asks: 'why are Labour run Slough Council privatising school & other medical services when the Labour manifesto commits a Labour Government to reversing NHS privatisation?'
NHS nurses and health visitors based at Upton Court Hospital learnt in July that the Labour-run Council has given the contract to run the services they provide for young people to a private company.
This takes the services out of our NHS. People ask whether the new providers have the experience to run the service well and to tackle inequality.
This also reduces integration and could be the start of a slippery slope and the break-up of the NHS.
For details of how to contact Robert Plimmer to support his campaign to stop Slough's Labour Council privatising our local NHS please see the latest Focus leaflet. It also has news about Robert's actions to help local residents and how he led the local Lib Dem campaign against the Tory proposal to remove the Lib Dem policies of free school lunches for infants and the Triple Lock that guarantees reasonable increases in the state pension.
