Coronavirus: Advice from the NHS; Support for the NHS

Everyone is rightly coming together to support one-another as we face the awful COVID-19 disease. The latest information from the NHS is available here: https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/

We are all doing whatever we can to support our NHS and social care systems. One of the ways the local Lib Dems are uniquely well-placed to contribute is by repeating yet again, and as strongly as possible, the message that we are so grateful to have the dedicated EU citizens who have remained here to work in our NHS and social care systems. We repeat this message to these EU citizens:

"We all know staff shortages in hospitals and care homes were already a great problem even before COVID-19, and things would be even more difficult without your help. We want you to feel most welcome to stay in the UK, and remain part of the team with all the others who work in the NHS and social care systems doing such immensely valuable work and to whom we are all so grateful."
